In September, EDA representatives travelled to Norway for the first ETIM International face-to-face forum.
74 ETIM specialists from all over the world gathered in Oslo to network, discuss and learn from each other about ETIM and digitalisation.
After two years of strict covid regulations, the Forum provided the perfect opportunity to brainstorm the future of ETIM with delegates representing 18 ETIM country organisations and six global industry members including Prysmian Group, Rexel Group and Schneider Electric.
Richard Appleton, Head of Digitalisation at the EDA, said: ‘We shared ideas and learnt about the roadmap for future development of ETIM as it continues to grow and be adopted in more countries.’
The conference was book-ended by meetings of the ETIM General Assembly where new ETIM International Board Members were elected and Technical Committees, where changes to the standard were discussed.

Guest speakers included Bernt Reitan Jenssen of Ruter AS and Jeroen Mackaij of SPIE Netherlands B.V.n and ETIM International donated EUR 500, to UNICEF, on behalf of the guest speakers as a sign of gratitude for their participation.
