ETIM UK joins the global ETIM International annual forum in Rome 2024

Representatives from ETIM UK (a partnership between the EDA and the BMF) headed to Rome in October 2024 for ETIM International's annual forum.

ETIM UK was represented by Margaret Fitzsimons, Richard Appleton, Oz Bham and David Bate – joined colleagues from ETIM organisations across Europe and ETIM North America.
“The event was a brilliant opportunity to network and share experience with fellow data professionals. Congratulations and thanks to Marc Habets and the ETIM International team for organising,” said Richard Appleton.

The conference focussed on:

  • The ETIM development roadmap for the coming year
  • How ETIM is involved with topical subjects such as sustainability data and the Digital Product Passport
  • Updates on the latest developments from ETIM Norway, ETIM Sweden, and ETIM France

Unsurprising the possibilities of AI for product classification and data verification featured strongly.

The event was bookended by full day meetings of the ETIM General Assembly and the ETIM Technical Committee.

ETIM is the international standard for product technical data in the electrotechnical and construction sectors. It is at the heart of EDATA – the UK electrical industry data pool – and a key constituent of the BMF product data template.
